What is the Premise?

Senku Ishigami is a science loving high school student. It just so happens when his friend decided to confess his feelings to Yuzuriha Ogawa, a eerie green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world turning every single human into stone. Several millennia passes before Taiju awakens to find the modern world completely taken over by nature. Most humans was still statues but soon Taiju learns that Senkuu has recovered and also plan to launch the complete revival of civilization with science. Between Taiju’s brawn and Senkuu’s brains they forge a formidable partnership, and they soon uncover a method to revive those petrified.

What type of show is it?

To best explain it, this show is Bill Nye the Science Guy Meets the Flintstones. This show is easy to watch and quite enjoyable. While its source material was a Shonen Jump manga, it isn’t the same battle manga we are used to. Building and planing ahead is very critical for this show. Giving a vibe of mad scientist (re)starts civilization

Is it a Hidden Gem?

Being a character focused anime that turns out to be like a comedy about science, being both realistic and so over the top at times that it’s unrealistic, all at the same time. To put simply, it’s a different type of show. It is well written and fun to watch.

A True Gem!
An Anime Worth going out of your way for, even likely to be enjoyed by some who isn’t normally into the setting.
