What is the Premise?
Finding his life to be boring Sorata Kanda quickly found his life turn upside down when force to move into the infamous Sakura Hall, a Suimei High School dorm. Sorata had found abandon kittens and agree to move till he could find a home for the cats, not allow cats in the standard dorm. Other residents include Eccentric collection of people such as Misaki, an overly energetic animator; Jin, a playwright playboy; and Ryuunosuke, a reclusive programmer who Sorata main way of communications was by email for the longest time. His desire to escape Sakura Hall wavers when the pet-like Mashiro Shiina transfer in. She artist with a overly shelter life looking to become a mangaka.
What type of show is it?
A RomCom that focus a lot on Slice of life goodies. This feels more about a group of friends and how they react with each other then really having a strong Romantic element. The characters are with nicely made with background. While its romance is weak, the story is there with nice drama.
Is it a Hidden Gem?
The Romance feels rather predictable. But I felt the drama and how group who all share the 6 room dorm are all friends work out rather well. It isn’t perfect but it does leave a good impact focusing on types of drama that many anime titles never have. It also helps that the artwork is top notched.
Rating : A Shinny Gem!
An Anime Worth going out of your way for, Easy liked but not quite a true Gem.
