Once we had learn about the film I looked at the staff of the film. Seeing Wiz on the staff list I thought that it was interesting. Wiz make no appearance in the novel Give Explosions to This Wonderful World. For those who don’t know, that is the name of the spin off book that focus on Megumin. The reason why Megumin had her own spin off is because she had the most votes in a popularity contest. With this said I figure the film would not focus on Megumin … Appears I was wrong.
The movie is dubbed KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! Crimson Legend. We for now know that it will be focus on a journey to Megumin’s hometown. The movie comes out in Japan 2019. While already four months into this year one of the theaters in japan had listed a date in July as the release date but later was removed. While I have high hopes to see the Arch Wizard of the Crimson Demon Clan sooner instead of later I get the feeling the movie may not release doing the summer as they still haven’t announce a date as of now.
KonoSuba started as an Light Novel that had been adapted to anime. The anime follows Kazuma Satō who is sent to a fantasy world following his rather embarrassing death. Taking a goddess Aqua with him as his requested item. He manage in forming a eccentric party with an explosion-obsessed wizard name Megumin and a masochistic crusader named Darkness to fight against monsters.
