YU-NO: New Anime Coming!

Visual Novel game Kono Yo no Hate de Koi o Utau Shoujo YU-NO is going to have an anime. The translation of this title is YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World. This visual novel game first came out in 1996 but had a number of remakes, including on Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita in Japan in 2017.

Visual Novel Database (vndb.org) had detail the game as follow. ~
Takuya Arima is a young student whose father, a historian who has conducted various researches, disappeared recently. During a summer vacation Takuya receives a peculiar package from his missing father, along with a letter containing information about the existence of various parallel worlds. At first Takuya doesn’t take it seriously, but soon he realizes that he possesses a device that allows him to travel to alternate dimensions. Is his father alive, after all? If so, where is he?

Crunchy Roll had an trailer for the show that is below and will premiere early in April. It is expected to have a good 26 episodes! The Director said that the anime will depict all the characters and all the routes from the original game before later adding that they “will outdo the game in dirty jokes,” From some of his comments I get the feeling he really like the source material and hope he will do it justice.

It can be assumed that Crunchyroll will likely be bringing YU-NO stateside.
