Hidden Gem Review, Attack on Titan

What is the Premise?

Humanity has built huge walls to protect themselves from the Titan threat that can be found outside of the walls. Titans are gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. In fact it almost seems that they can live endlessly and only attack humans. Our focus for the story is Eren Jaeger. With his his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackermann, and childhood friend Armin Arlelt their lives are changed after the appearance of the Colossal Titan who damaged the wall allowing Titans into their hometown. Vowing revenge and to reclaim the world from the Titans, Eren join the Scout Regiment, a group of soldiers who fight Titans outside the Walls.

What type of show is it?

Known for mostly it Violent nature more then anything else, I come to learn that almost everything in attack on titan is planned. The world building is top notch and nothing seem to happen without reasoning behind it. Things that seem off turn out to be foreshadowing the future events. Truth be told there was a few things that I thought was off in the first season that turn out to come up the second season on to what really happened.

Is it a Hidden Gem?

Everyone talk highly about the first season. I agree it was good but didn’t think it was truly a master piece. Not bothering to look up the story outside of the anime. As the second season and now the third season came around offering pieces of a larger puzzle I was impress with the planning that must had gone into this work before the story got going.

A True Gem!
An Anime Worth going out of your way for, even likely to be enjoyed by some who isn’t normally into the setting.

While first season was the most popular if I was to give a review on it alone it likely would had only been a Shinny Gem, but the way the story works itself up is a great example of story telling.

How much of it is there?

Currently there is Three Seasons. The 4th and Final has been announced.

You can watch Attack on Titan (AoT): Dubbed and Subbed

There is also an Attack on Titan Junior High Spin Off
