Anime Hidden Gem Reviews

Hidden Gem Review, Hinako Note

What is the Premise?

Hinako Sakuragi, better known as Hina, has a little social issue. When she try to talk to people she gets stiff, so much so that her arms go out and she start to resemble a Scarecrow. Inspired by a play she seen on her schools field trip to Tokyo she decides to join Fujiyama High School and join the renowned theatre club there. Moving in to Hitotose Manor where residents need to help out at the book shop and cafe that is part of the building.

What type of show is it?

A slice of life anime that focuses on girls who live together and go to high school together. Focus is on the girl from the country doing things in the city, or at least attempting to do so. Like most slice of life animes this one moves pretty slow.

Is it a Hidden Gem?

This slice of life anime did good for having a bit of a interesting lead character. The anime art style works well, constant shifting between “normal” and “chibi” art style. While a little cliché it is also adorable and funny. Really at the end if you want a good simple slice of life that has production values this one is for you. Something new and unique? not as much.

Rating : A Rough Gem!
An Anime Worth going out of your way for, if you don’t like the first hand full of episodes then it simply isn’t for you!

How much of it is there?

One Season is out for this show.
You can watch Sub and as of now there isn’t a dub option.
