Anime Hidden Gem Reviews

Hidden Gem Review, So I’m a Spider, So What?

What is the Premise?

While the title hints at being reborn in another word as a spider, it really is the start of the story. After a classroom get destroyed we learn that one of those in the class room got reincarnated in another world as a Spider. Though we later learn that the others was all reincarnated as well. Many as nobles, princes, and other kinds of people with prestigious backgrounds

Our Spider after a tough fight.

What type of show is it?

Starting as a survival of the fittest for our little spider. She will take on threats too big for her class but with her human mind and her figuring out a complex skill tree she finds her own way. As time goes on we spend more and more time with the Humans outside of the cave finding out what more of the world.

While our spider friend (and us) get to see her in a more cute way with human eyes. What the world see is on the right.

Is it a Hidden Gem?

Some people compare this anime a lot to the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime. With good reason as it’s one of the only other shows that start of with a reincarnation into a monster. While both give us game like mechanics our Slime was giving a lot of advantages and power while anytime our spider start thinking she a tough cookie she runs into someone more powerful. Sometimes for that more powerful enemy to be beaten by more powerful ones at that. While both are good, they are both good in different ways.

Rating : A Shinny Gem
A good anime, even those who don’t like Isekai shows may enjoy the theme of trying to live as a simple spider we start with before evolving pass that. although I’m worried about the overly large and open cliff hanger ending. Though I don’t picture them really following the story and not having a cliff hanger ending unless if they rushed the story changing the feel of the entire show.

How much of it is there?

One Season is out for this show.
You can watch Sub and Dub
