Anime Hidden Gem Reviews

Hidden Gem Review, The 8th son? Are you kidding me?

What is the Premise?

A 25 year old blue collar worker, Shingo Ichinomiya, find himself in a new fantasy world as a 6 year old with a gift for magic! The family while a kind a noble, are rather low in the social status and super low in the financial departments. And being the 8th Son, he isn’t getting any of it meaning it’s up to him to cut his own path!

What type of show is it?

A generic Isekai, where the main hero is Rather OP, is popular with the ladies, and never use a thing from there entire past life (other then bringing basic japan style food knowledge, that no one ever thought to do in their world before he got there.)

Our hero with his magic teacher.

Is it a Hidden Gem?

it felt like it was rushing to the main plot points at the start. Hey we know how an Isekai anime works! It’s almost like Spiderman Skipping Uncle Ben. The starting few events that they rush though was well thought out. Though soon I wonder why they was trying to rush as not only do they never get to any good plot points to focus on, but each plot point seem less and less thought out.

A Glass Gem!
Really, there are lots of Isekai that aren’t really great, that aren’t going to make headlines. And I tend to like them anyway! I like how this one started. I liked some of the character designs, (okay, maybe more so the tomboyish magic fighter more then the others) But this was poorly produce. The writing was more substandard then some of the basic others. And they never slow down so we can enjoy the journey of the flat personality of the Characters.

How much of it is there?

One Season is out for this show.
