Hidden Gem Review, The Promised Neverland

What is the Premise?

Live has never been better in the Grace Field House, a small orphange housing 38 kids. Good food, clean white uniforms, and a loving caretaker the kids all call mama. When one of the girls is adopted and walked to the gate with the mother both Emma and Norman follow as she left her plush she always held behind. There they found the truth, that the supposed orphanage is in fact not such. And worst yet, the loving mother was in on it. Norman and Emma partner up with Ray to find a way to escape the evil with all their other siblings.

What type of show is it?

The best way to explain the show is a Mystery Horror. Finding out the evils, learning the rules of the game they live by, and finding out how to win. While it is set in 2045, at the house we see nothing to even give the feel of modern setup. No computers, cell phones, or anything else that connects them to the outside world, and good reason. It is very hard to talk about this show without giving away things about the show.

Is it a Hidden Gem?

If I was asked is this show more Cute or more Terrifying it would be really hard for me to answer. Starting with a very wholesome vibe, the darker themes comes quickly and hard. Each episode leave you wanting more as soon as possible. While I did not read Light Novels that this show is adapted from the people who did claim the anime was a incredible adaptation. The show start fast and hard and keeps the pace the entire time.

A True Gem!
An Anime Worth going out of your way for, even likely to be enjoyed by some who isn’t normally into the setting.
