Hidden Gem Review, To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts

What is the Premise?

We start our story doing a civil war that the South is losing. Knowing they will lose they use dark magic to make transforming monster solders known as Incarnates. By the end of the war the Incarnates squad was starting to have issues. Once the war ended most of the now beast like Incarnates had issues going back to normal lives.
Nancy Schaal Bancroft is a daughter of an Incarnate who was killed by a Beast Hunter so she leaves to hunt the beast hunter down, finding out more about Incarnates then she expected.

What type of show is it?

In Patria the war was about resources the south had found, but it did feel inspire by 18th century America. Once we are past the start that explain what happen doing the war we get a story about Monsters who had all but won the war for the South being hunted like Beast and Personal quests for Revenge.

Is it a Hidden Gem?

A mix package of Enemy of the week and lingering questions that can result from any war, To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts does give a story although nothing super original. It does great to start the show, with each of the Incarnates having a different set of powers. Although it feels it didn’t live up to it’s potential.

Rating : A Rough Gem!
An Anime that is fun to watch but if this type of anime is your bread and butter you’ll not find anything new here.
